New Equipment Back to top
I mentioned in the last e-AquatiCall that we had added a 4-track tensioner to our growing asset list. During the factory testing the tensioner exceeded the offshore design capability as classified by DNV, and whilst our immediate need was to get the machine out onto a project, our engineering department have been working diligently in the background to provide the design approval, and other necessary documentation, to successfully acquire an improved rating. Equipment "At a Glance" Back to top

Every project is different and because we often modify our equipment to suit a job, we like to discuss potential projects in advance. We pride ourselves on being available as early as is necessary in the bidding cycle, to recommend the right equipment based on the kit available in UK, the USA and Singapore.

To help you understand a piece of kit in terms of maximum product weights, size, height and tensioner line pull, we have created a snap shot view of our range of capabilities in an "At a Glance" document. This document can be read in conjunction with our Q2 Project overview; this document should help

you understand the diverse projects our kit and people work on. Our internet site has a comprehensive list of equipment available to hire ... click here to learn more.

Equipment Availability Back to top
Aquatic has provided equipment hire for customers for over 30 years and for the first time our assets can be now be hired in Louisiana, Singapore and the UK. With costs being carefully scrutinised in the wake of the economic difficulties in recent weeks, we want to ensure that our customers can still bid and win projects over their competitors by providing equipment in country in order to cut mobilisation and demobilisation time and costs. Certification Success Back to top

Aquatic has been awarded certification to OHSAS 18001: 2007 by BSI for the Safety Management System. This is a key success for us as it completes a suite of certifications that are of key importance to our customers:

• Quality ISO 9001: 2000
• Environmental ISO 14001: 2004
• Safety OHSAS 18001: 2007

A news release will be issued shortly.

Spotlight on ... Decommissioning Back to top

There is a perception that all we do is Project Management, hire installation equipment and of course supply the personnel to deliver the service. However, we also offer a decommissioning service and we have been working in this area since 1994. In recent months we have completed offshore recovery of flexible's and umbilical's, onshore spooling and the cutting and disposal of umbilical's, mooring wire and chain recovery projects and later this year we will be working offshore Italy to recover risers, gas lift flow lines and umbilicals.

Aquatic is also an associate member of the Peterhead Decommissioning Group, a collection of experienced businesses backed by the Scottish Government. Working with the PDG, Aquatic can offer a full disposal solution.
