Workshop Mechanic

Based primarily in our Peterhead facility, with some infrequent overseas trips, we have a requirement for a Workshop Mechanic to carry out maintenance and commission of the Aquatic pipe handling and lay equipment as well as general workshop maintenance. Candidates should: - Be a time served mechanic or equivalent; - Be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrics; - Be able to operate forklifts and overhead cranes; - Be able to demonstrate appropriate experience in a mechanical environment; - Be able to demonstrate knowledge, previous experience and competency in equipment operation and maintenance skills; - Have an awareness of HSEQ obligations. Further skills essential to this position include: - Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Candidates should: - Be a time served mechanic or equivalent; - Be able to demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of hydraulics; - Be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of electrics; - Be able to demonstrate appropriate experience in a mechanical environment; - Be able to demonstrate knowledge and previous experience in equipment operation and maintenance skills; - Have an awareness of HSEQ obligations. Further skills essential to this position include: - Good communication skills and attention to detail; - Offshore experience in pipe handling equipment would be advantageous.

Candidates should: - Be educated to Standard Grade level or equivalent; - Be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of hydraulics; - Be able to operate a forklift and overhead cranes; - Be able to support the mechanics and technicians in their daily tasks; - Have an awareness of HSEQ obligations. Further skills essential to this position include: - Good communication skills and attention to detail; - Possess a willingness to progress.
